Growing up outside of Las Vegas, Brian Fackrell was often up to no good. This prompted his mother to jokingly refer to him as that Rotten Little Bastard.  In 2003, when Brian, his wife, Brigid, and kids moved to the verdant Lowcountry of South Carolina from the Nevada desert, they not only found a new home, but a new lifestyle. The Lowcountry life is a little more of a relaxed, casual island time. This island community situated between Charleston, SC and Hilton Head, SC is a great place to live, work and raise kids. it was love at first site.

The idea of opening a craft distillery is a retirement plan turned dream come true. Located on Boundary Street, one of the main roadways into Beaufort, passersby can't help but notice all the shiny distilling equipment. As members of this community, we respect our area and environment. We source our grains from St. George, SC and purchase organic molasses and sugar. Our spent grains and rum wash go to Whippoorwill Farms for use as feed and plant nutrients. Local companies supply many of the items in our retail shop.
