RLB Distillery offers a variety of Tasting Tours. Each tour includes a guided experience led by one of our Spirit Guides, where you'll learn about our process from grinding South Carolina grain to fermenting, distilling, and bottling. You can choose to walk through the distillery or enjoy the Tour from the window in our Tasting Room. We have several different Spirit Flight Options, as well as Cocktail Flights. Reservations can be made on our Booking page. Please note that the last tour starts at 6 PM, and reservations are recommended.
A Tasting Tour at RLB distillery usually lasts between 45 to 90 minutes. The length of the tour will vary depending on the number of questions asked and the number of participants. Our knowledgeable Spirit Guides are always happy to answer any inquiries and provide an enriching experience for all guests. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to learn about our distillation process, explore the aromas and flavors of our spirits, and indulge in a delightful tasting session. We strive to offer an engaging and educational experience that showcases the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into creating our award winning spirits.
During a Spirit Flight Tasting Tour, you will sample 4 of our standard spirits, grouped by type. Saint Helena 'Shine, King Tide Vodka, Spanish Moss Gin, HMEJM American Whiskey, Boundary Street Rum and Coosa Cut Bourbon, Barrel strength Bourbon, Special 1569 Rum aged in a new barrel, and Bravest Bull.
During a Cocktail Flight Tour, you will sip on 3 specialty cocktails. These smaller cocktails will give you a nice sampling of our offerings.
We also offer a single Cocktail Tour, in which you can you can sip up to three full sized cocktails made at our bar. We use only our spirits and offer the traditional cocktails, such as Gin and Tonic, Old Fashioned, Vodka Cranberry.
Each of these include a Distillery Tour. This Tour can be the full walking Tour of the Distillery or a Tour through the window while you are in our Tasting room. The choice is yours. Both are led my our experienced Spirit Guides.
Yes! RLB Distillery is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities. Our retail area, distillery, and restroom are wheelchair accessible. Convenient parking is available around the corner of the distillery or in the main parking lot. Guests may also be dropped off directly at our door.
By law, all participants tasting spirits on our Tours must be at least 21 years old. A valid photo ID must be shown to be served spirits. Anyone under 21 years old may accompany the Tour but will not be served spirits. We also have a bench in the retail area for people to sit. Children must not be left unattended.
Yes, pets on leashes are welcome at RLB Distillery. However, please be aware that as a manufacturing facility, we are not responsible for anything your pet finds on the floor. We have a distillery cat named Juniper, who is not a fan of dogs, but she can be put in her room for anyone who does not want to see a cat. We love our furry visitors, but we ask that all pet owners ensure their pets are well-behaved and respectful of others. Thank you for understanding and for bringing your four-legged friends to our distillery!
Absolutely! At RLB Distillery, you can personally bottle your own spirits from our filling tank or even our Barrel Strength Bourbon, directly from the barrel. This unique experience allows you to fill and seal your bottle, adding a special touch. We provide stickers to show you did it yourself, making it a great gift or keepsake. Enjoy this option during your tour with us!
We do not currently offer food for sale, but you are welcome to bring your own food on a Tasting Tour. We recommend our neighbor, Urban Brew. For events, charcuterie can be pre-ordered through the ticketing process. Charcuterie for Tasting Tours can be purchased directly through Sandy Bottom Boards. Please note that our operational hours are from Tuesday to Saturday, 1 PM to 7 PM.
